BNP Leader Abdul Awal Mintu’s Name Surfaces in Epstein Files
In the millions of pages of documents related to the globally notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the name of BNP-nominated candidate for Feni-3 (Daganbhuiya-Sonagazi) constituency and party Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu has appeared. The documents primarily concern funding for the election campaign of former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, in which Epstein was a major donor, contributing $50,000.
In the same donor list for Richardson’s campaign, Abdul Awal Mintu is listed as a “Bangladeshi businessman” who donated $5,000. The inclusion of both names in the same document stems from their contributions to the same political campaign.

Abdul Awal Mintu, former FBCCI president and CEO of Multimode Group, is contesting the upcoming 13th parliamentary election from Feni-3 on the BNP’s “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol. Born in Alaiyapur village of Daganbhuiya upazela in Feni district, he comes from a politically influential family. His late father Haji Safi Ullah served as chairman of Ramnagar Union Parishad and later as the first chairman of Daganbhuiya upazela for two terms.
