Mahmudur Rahman Manna shifted to CCU
Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna has been shifted to the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) from the emergency department of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital (formerly referred to as BMU) in the capital’s Shahbagh.
He was admitted to the hospital at approximately 12:00 AM on Friday (January 16) night.
Doctors stated that his condition is currently stable. He is not experiencing pain, and his vital signs are largely within normal limits. On medical advice, he will remain under observation for 24 hours. Further necessary medical tests are scheduled for completion today, Saturday (January 17). The veteran politician has requested prayers from the public for his recovery.
A. Razzak Talukder Sajib, a member of the Nagorik Oikya Central Committee, informed that Manna was rushed to the hospital at around 11:00 PM on Friday after complaining of chest pain. Following preliminary treatment in the emergency ward, he was moved to the CCU for specialized care.
