Osman Hadi's condition stable after initial deterioration, says Inqilab Moncho
Treatment continues for Sharif Osman Hadi, prospective independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency and spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho, who was critically injured after being shot by a Chhatra League leader in the capital. His condition deteriorated following various medical tests but is now stable. Another surgery will be required once his condition improves further.
Inqilab Moncho shared this information on its Facebook page on Tuesday (16 December), citing Hadi's elder brother who is staying with him in Singapore.
In their Facebook post, the platform said Hadi's brother informed them at 3pm Singapore time that following primary tests, Sharif Osman Hadi's condition showed some deterioration but has now stabilised.
The post added that another surgery is needed, but his physical condition is not yet ready for the procedure.
Earlier, the air ambulance carrying Osman Hadi landed at Singapore's Seletar Airport at around 5:50pm Bangladesh time on Monday. He was taken directly to Singapore General Hospital from there. All necessary medical preparations had been completed before his hospital admission. He was admitted immediately upon arrival and examinations began.
Hadi's brother Omar Bin Hadi and his friend and political associate Aminul Hasan Faisal accompanied him to Singapore.
Notably, Osman Hadi was shot in Dhaka's Paltan area at noon on Friday (12 December) and was initially taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). He was later transferred to Evercare Hospital, where his treatment was underway.
Subsequently, on Sunday (14 December), following Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus's directive, an emergency conference call was held between Cultural Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Health Ministry Affairs Professor Dr Md Sayedur Rahman, Evercare Hospital specialist Dr Zafar, and Hadi's brother Omar Bin Hadi, where the decision was made to send him to Singapore for advanced treatment.
