Free Wi-Fi in 10,568 Madrasas and Technical Institutes Within 6 Months: PM

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has announced that free Wi-Fi connection will be provided in 8,232 madrasas and 2,336 technical institutions across the country within the next six months.
The announcement was made on Wednesday (8 April) during the question-answer session of the Jatiya Sangsad while replying to a question from Sirajganj-1 MP Md. Selim Reza.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the government is committed to building a modern and technology-friendly education system. He said steps are being taken to establish multimedia classrooms in all primary and secondary level institutions and to introduce ‘Edu-ID’ for every student and teacher to reduce the digital divide.
