Inqilab Moncho to continue Shahbagh blockade today for fourth consecutive day
Inqilab Moncho has announced it will continue its blockade at Shahbagh intersection — now renamed Shahid Hadi Chattwar — for the fourth consecutive day on Monday, pressing for four-point demands related to the murder of its former spokesperson and Dhaka-8 parliamentary candidate martyr Sharif Osman Hadi.
In a message issued on Sunday (28 December), the platform called upon students and the public to join the blockade at 2:00 pm tomorrow to demand justice for Hadi’s killers within the next 24 days.
The four-point demands announced after Sunday’s blockade programme are:
- Complete the trial of the killers, planners, abettors, those who aided the escape, and those who provided shelter — the entire murder syndicate — within the next 24 days.
- Cancel the work permits of all Indian nationals currently residing in Bangladesh.
- If India refuses to extradite any killers who have taken shelter there, file a case against India in an international court.
- Identify, arrest, and bring to justice all fascist collaborators who are hiding within civil and military intelligence agencies.
The blockade programme began on Friday and has continued uninterrupted over the weekend, drawing significant attention amid ongoing protests and demands for swift justice in the high-profile murder case.
