At least 31 people killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon, See Video Here
Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon have killed at least 31 people and wounded 149, according to Lebanon’s health ministry on Monday. The ministry reported that raids on Beirut’s southern suburbs and southern Lebanon caused the casualties.
The strikes come amid heightened regional conflict. Iran launched missiles at Israel and Arab states on Monday, while militias backed by Tehran—including Hezbollah—attacked Israel. In response, Israel struck Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, and the United States continued pounding military sites in Iran.
As US and Israeli airstrikes persisted, top Iranian security official Ali Larijani posted on X: “We will not negotiate with the United States.”
US President Donald Trump, who a day earlier urged Iranians to “take over” their government, signalled on Sunday that he is open to dialogue with Iran’s new leadership.
Iran’s foreign minister earlier suggested that some military units may be acting independently of central government control, when pressed about attacks on Gulf Arab nations that have previously served as intermediaries for Tehran.
Iranian authorities report that more than 200 people have been killed since the joint US-Israeli strikes began, which also killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior leaders.
