Gold Prices Rise by Tk 2,216 per Bhori

Gold prices have increased by Tk 2,216 per bhori in the local market, pushing the price of 22-carat gold once again above Tk 250,000 per bhori.

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the new prices on Wednesday. The revised rates came into effect from 10:00 AM.

New Prices (per bhori):

  • 22-carat gold: Tk 250,193 (up Tk 2,216)
  • 21-carat gold: Tk 238,820
  • 18-carat gold: Tk 204,703
  • Traditional gold: Tk 166,737

Before this hike, 22-carat gold was priced at Tk 247,977 per bhori.

According to GoldPrice.com, as of Wednesday morning, gold was trading at $4,827 per ounce in the international market — $80 higher than the last local adjustment.

In the past 30 days, global gold prices have declined by $177 per ounce amid the Iran-Israel-US conflict, though they rose more than 70% throughout 2025. Silver prices have also increased slightly — 22-carat silver now stands at Tk 6,065 per bhori, up by Tk 350.
