Brazil Thrash Argentina 3–0 to Qualify for World Cup

Brazil have secured qualification for the U-17 World Cup with a commanding 3-0 victory over arch-rivals Argentina in the South American U-17 Championship.

The match was played on Friday (10 April) in Villetto, Paraguay. With one match still remaining, Brazil have booked their spot in the World Cup.

Brazil dominated the game from the start with fast-paced attacking football. They took a 2-0 lead in the first half.

  • 15th minute: Ricuerdo Henrique scored from a corner.
  • 39th minute: Ricuerdo Filipe doubled the lead.

In the second half, Argentina tried to fight back but failed to break through Brazil’s defence. In the closing stages, Eduardo Conceicao scored from a pass by David Nogueira, making the final score 3-0.

With this win, Brazil have collected 9 points and also advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament.

They will face Venezuela in their final group match on Sunday. Though the match is now a formality for qualification, Brazil will aim to finish top of the group.
