Prof Dr. Yearul Kabir Appointed as New VC at JUST

Professor Dr. Yearul Kabir from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Dhaka University, has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST).
The appointment was made through a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Education on Monday (13 April). The notification was signed by Assistant Secretary Md. Shah Alam Siraj on behalf of the President and Chancellor.
According to the notification, under Section 10(1) of the Jessore Science & Technology University Act, 2001, Professor Dr. Yearul Kabir has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor with the following conditions:
- The tenure of his appointment will be 4 (four) years from the date of joining.
- He will receive the same salary and allowances as his current position.
- He will enjoy other benefits as per university rules.
- As the Chief Executive Officer, he must remain full-time on the university campus.
- The President and Chancellor may cancel this appointment at any time if necessary.
