VC Removed While Attending Seminar with Education Minister
Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid, Vice-Chancellor of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST), has been relieved of his post.
The Ministry of Education issued the official gazette notification on Monday (13 April) afternoon — at a time when Dr. Majid was attending a seminar with Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon at his own university.
According to the notification, with the approval of the President and Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Majid has been released from the position of Vice-Chancellor of Jessore University of Science and Technology and allowed to return to his parent position in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Dhaka University.
When contacted by The Daily Campus right after the notification was issued, Dr. Majid said, “I am currently at a programme.”
