The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) held a meeting to discuss the 19th teacher recruitment notification, aiming to streamline hiring for non-government educational institutions with staff-friendly reforms, chaired by NTRCA Chairman Aminul Islam on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Islam told The Daily Campus, “The meeting focused on the 19th recruitment notification. We’ve formed a committee to finalize the syllabus, exam method, and other details, and decisions will follow its recommendations.” When asked about the 6th public notification, he clarified, “No discussion occurred on that; we only addressed the 19th recruitment.”

The government plans to overhaul entry-level teacher recruitment by eliminating the traditional registration exam and issuing direct recruitment notifications. A new regulation, nearing final approval, will support this shift, with a circular to follow. The Education Ministry stated that twice the number of vacant posts will be invited for viva voce—for example, 100,000 candidates for 50,000 vacancies. Final selections will match vacancy numbers, with an additional 20% passing as a reserve pool. Applicant age will be calculated from the notification’s publication date, ensuring inclusivity, such as eligibility for a candidate aged 34 years and 11 months at that time.
