The Non-Government Teachers' Registration & Certification Authority (NTRCA) has sent a letter to the Ministry of Education seeking permission to fill 68,000 vacant posts through the 7th recruitment gazette in non-government educational institutions. Subject to the ministry's approval, the gazette is expected to be published soon.

A source at NTRCA told The Daily Campus on Thursday (1 January) that the Ministry of Education had earlier issued a letter granting permission for the publication of the 7th gazette. However, since the letter mentioned the previous number of vacant posts, a fresh request has now been sent to the ministry with the updated figure.

On condition of anonymity, an NTRCA official told The Daily Campus: “A letter seeking permission for the publication of the 7th gazette was sent to the ministry this afternoon (Thursday). The gazette will be published subject to the ministry's approval.”

It is learnt that NTRCA collected vacancy data for the 7th gazette. Through Teletalk, the total number of vacancies stood at slightly over 72,000. This included 30,279 vacancies in schools and colleges, 40,838 in madrasas, and 891 in technical institutions.

Later, to verify the accuracy of the received vacancy data, letters were sent to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Directorate of Madrasah Education, and Directorate of Technical Education. After verification, the number of accurate vacancies was confirmed at 68,000. NTRCA has now sent a letter to the ministry seeking permission to publish the 7th recruitment gazette against these posts.
