Applications for Five Government Allowances, Including Education Stipend, Apply Today

The Department of Social Services under the Ministry of Social Welfare has opened online applications for five government allowances and education stipends under various social safety net programs starting Saturday (August 1).

The online application window will remain open until August 15.

According to a public notice issued by the Department of Social Services, eligible individuals and institutions can apply for the following five categories:

1. Old Age Allowance (Boyosko Bhata)

2. Allowance for Widows, Deserted, and Destitute Women (Bidhoba O Swami Nigruhita Bhata)

3. Allowance and Education Stipend for Persons with Disabilities (Protibandhi Bhata O Shiksha Upobritti)

4. Allowance and Education Stipend for Underprivileged Communities (Onogroshor Jongoshthishomuher Bhata O Upobritti)

5. Capitation Grant for Students of Registered Private Orphanages

Application Process

Applicants for categories 1 through 4 (Old Age, Widow, Disability, and Underprivileged Allowance/Stipend) can submit their forms online at dss.bhata.gov.bd/online-application.

For the Capitation Grant for registered private orphanages (category 5), applications must be submitted at mswservices.gov.bd/auth/login.

The department requested all eligible and interested individuals and institutions to complete their online submissions with accurate information within the deadline, noting that no applications will be accepted after August 15. For further details, applicants are advised to contact their local Upazila or City Social Services office.
