Govt Forms Committee to Review Recommendations of Three Pay Commissions

The government has reconstituted the recommendation committees for the National Pay Commission, the Judicial Service Pay Commission, and the Armed Forces Pay Commission. A 10-member committee has been formed with the Cabinet Secretary serving as the convener. The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday (April 21).

According to the notification, the government has reconstituted the committee responsible for formulating recommendations based on the reports of the ‘National Pay Commission 2025’, ‘Bangladesh Judicial Service Pay Commission 2025’, and the ‘Armed Forces Pay Committee 2025’.

The other members of the committee include:

  • Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister

  • Senior Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration

  • Principal Staff Officer, Armed Forces Division

  • Secretary, Ministry of Defence

  • Secretary, Finance Division

  • Secretary, Law and Justice Division

  • Secretary, Secondary and Higher Education Division

  • Secretary, Health Services Division

  • Comptroller and Auditor General (CGA)

Terms of Reference: The committee will examine and analyze the salary-related matters presented in the reports submitted by the National Pay Commission 2025, the Bangladesh Judicial Service Pay Commission 2025, and the Armed Forces Pay Committee 2025 to formulate recommendations for subsequent actions. The committee is tasked with submitting its report to the government in a timely manner.

The Finance Division will provide secretarial support to the committee, and meetings will be held as required. This notification was issued as a follow-up to the Cabinet Division’s earlier memorandum dated February 8, 2026. Signed by Additional Secretary (Committee and Economic) Md. Humayun Kabir by order of the President, the notification is set to take effect immediately.
