NCT lease with DP World won’t be signed under interim government, says BIDA Chairman

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority Chairman Ashiq Chowdhury said the current government will not sign the planned lease agreement handing Chattogram port’s New Mooring Container Terminal (NCT) to DP World.

BIDA Executive Chairman Ashiq Chowdhury said the current government will not sign the Chattogram Port New Mooring Container Terminal lease with DP World. “They asked us for a little time, but we have only two working days left. So it is not happening within this period,” he told a press briefing on Sunday, 8 February.
