Model and Actress Ridhi Found Dead in Dhaka
Model and actress Ridhika Ridhi was found hanging from a ceiling fan at a residence in Dhaka’s Bashundhara Residential Area on Saturday morning. She was later declared dead at Kurmitola General Hospital.
Police recovered her around 6am and took her to the hospital, where doctors on duty declared her dead. The matter was confirmed by Bhatara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mazharul Islam.
“We went to Kurmitola Hospital after receiving the news and found the body there. Her mother and family members are currently at the police station,” he said.
According to information provided by the family, Ridhi was in a relationship with someone. The OC said the two had an argument over a video call early Saturday morning and that Ridhi allegedly died by suicide while the call was still ongoing.
“We are taking a case based on the family’s complaint,” Mazharul Islam said. Ridhika Ridhi worked as a model and also appeared in television dramas. Her notable dramas include Ekhane Manush Bikri Hoy, Bahurupi, Double Honeymoon and Sundori.
