CNG-Autorickshaw Driver Killed After Being Hit by Bus in Dhaka’s Farmgate
A CNG-autorickshaw driver was killed after being hit by a bus in Dhaka’s Farmgate area on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Mamun Foragi, 33. The accident occurred around 12:30 PM under the Tejturi Bazar footbridge.
Eyewitnesses said a bus of Labbaik Paribahan hit the autorickshaw. Passersby rescued him in critical condition and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared him dead around 1:15 PM.
According to his driving licence, Mamun Foragi was a resident of Hirajhil area in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. He hailed from Char Fasson upazila of Bhola district.
Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the police camp at DMCH, confirmed the death. The body has been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy. Tejgaon Police Station is investigating the incident.
