Former Army Personnel Receives Death Threat with Bullets
A former army member, Shahajan Hossain Tuhin (55), has received a death threat after bullets from a pistol, poisonous white chemical powder, a shroud cloth (kafan), and a threatening note were left in front of his house in Ishwaripur Union, Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira.
The incident occurred on Monday (16 March). Police recovered the items from the scene after Tuhin sought security from the administration.
OC Khaledur Rahman of Shyamnagar Police Station confirmed the matter to The Daily Campus: “We received the information and went to the spot, recovering the bullets, shroud cloth, and other items. We are now monitoring the matter through detective surveillance. Investigation is ongoing to identify who is behind this.”
He added: “He is a former army member and a good person. This could be due to some family dispute. We are taking the matter seriously.”
The threatening note read: “This shroud cloth is for Tuhin to wear. Very soon your house will be given a horrific death, InshaAllah. When you leave the house, keep your head safe. From today, start counting the days to your death. Your death will be written very soon.”
Victim Shahajan Hossain Tuhin said: “I urge the authorities to investigate who is involved in this incident and bring them under the law quickly.”
