DU Security Officer Enayet Ullah Dies in Suspected Suicide in Azimpur
A Dhaka University security guard, Enayet Ullah (34), died by hanging in his rented house in Azimpur, Dhaka, late Monday night (9 March).
According to his brother-in-law Alamgir Hossain, Enayet, a resident of Sonagazi upazila in Feni, lived in Azimpur with his wife Lubna. A few days ago, his wife had gone to their village home. On Monday evening, the couple had an argument over family matters on the phone. When Enayet disconnected the call, his wife asked a neighbour to check on him.
The neighbour found the door locked. Relatives were informed, and they broke into the room to discover Enayet had hanged himself using a muffler tied to the ceiling fan in his room. They immediately called 999 to report the incident.
Inspector Md. Faruk of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp confirmed the death. The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
