Fake Certificate Holders List Published: 973 Institutions Inspected by DIA
The Directorate of Inspection and Audit (DIA) under the Ministry of Education has published the latest inspection and audit reports of 973 educational institutions across the country.
This was confirmed today, Sunday (1 March), in a notification signed by DIA Director Professor M.M. Shahidul Islam.
The reports cover inspections and audits conducted from 1 July to 31 December 2025. They reveal widespread irregularities including fake or forged certificates, unacceptable certificates, illegal appointments, embezzlement of funds, and financial misconduct related to VAT and IT.
The DIA has recommended recovery of approximately Tk 90 crore (Tk 89 crore 82 lakh 25 thousand 607) to the government exchequer due to these irregularities. It has also urged the recovery of 176.523 acres of encroached land.
