One Killed in Shooting in Front of Dhaka National Medical College Hospital

A man was shot dead in front of the Dhaka National Medical Institute Hospital in Old Dhaka today around 11:00am. Several miscreants opened fire on the unidentified victim, police said.

Eyewitnesses reported finding at least four bullet wounds on the man's body. His identity remains unknown, and police have launched an investigation.

Police rushed to the scene and recovered the body. It was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Teknaf Model Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Zaed Md Nazmun Noor said, "We received reports of a body under the bridge and dispatched police. Preliminary investigations are underway; details will follow."

The incident has sparked fears of rising violence in the area, with locals calling for swift action to identify the perpetrators.
