The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to six national team players to compete in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL). The decision, announced Monday, follows a comprehensive security assessment by the government which concluded that there are no immediate threats to the contingent.

The board confirmed it held extensive consultations with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Bangladesh mission in Islamabad before authorizing the travel. Officials emphasized that player safety remained the top priority given the current regional instability.

Following the clearance, pace trio Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, and Nahid Rana, along with top-order batter Parvez Hossain Emon, departed for Pakistan on Monday. Young pacer Nahid Rana shared a photo of the group mid-flight on social media with the caption "Eid ends." Opening batter Tanzid Hasan Tamim and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain complete the list of cleared players.

Franchise Assignments

  • Lahore Qalandars: Mustafizur Rahman and Parvez Hossain Emon.

  • Peshawar Zalmi: Shoriful Islam, Nahid Rana, and Tanzid Hasan Tamim.

  • Rawalpindi Pindis: Rishad Hossain.

The tournament is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, though it faces significant logistical hurdles this year. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently announced that matches will be restricted to just two venues and played in empty stadiums due to a domestic fuel crisis linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
