Bangladesh, Nepal, West Indies, Italy and England are placed in Group C of the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled to begin on February 7. However, if Bangladesh's matches are shifted to Sri Lanka, the other teams in the same group, especially England, would also have to travel there. But Moeen Ali does not think this would be the right decision.

The all-rounder claims the matter is mainly related to travel and logistics. However, he does not believe the England team has any plan to go to Sri Lanka at the moment.

Moeen said, "Yes, meaning then England would also have to go to Sri Lanka because they are in the same group. At this moment it does not seem England is going to Sri Lanka. So there are many variables here, and then the matter becomes a big problem, travel, transportation."

According to the current schedule, England's two matches are in Mumbai and the other two in Kolkata. The match against Bangladesh is on February 14 in Kolkata. Besides, they will play on February 11 in Mumbai and February 16 in Kolkata. If Bangladesh's matches are moved to Sri Lanka, naturally the travel burden would increase for the English team.

Moeen said, "Of course no one wants to travel more. Though it is not very far. India is a very big country, and going from one city to another also takes a lot of time. But in my experience, in World Cup the less travel the better. The less a team travels, it definitely helps. But in the end whatever happens will happen."
