DC coach Mahbub Ali Zaki passes away after heart attack

Mahbub Ali Zaki, one of Bangladesh’s most respected cricket coaches, passed away after suffering a sudden heart attack. He was serving as assistant coach of Dhaka Capitals in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The incident occurred just moments before the start of Dhaka’s first match. Zaki suddenly collapsed on the field due to a heart attack. Despite immediate medical attention and efforts to rush him to hospital, he could not be saved.

Prior to the match, Zaki had fallen ill and received primary treatment at the venue. He was later taken to hospital for advanced care.

Only two days before the BPL began, Zaki had appeared before the media, speaking confidently and clearly about the team’s preparations, strategies and expectations. Even on match day, he had been actively working with the players on the field until shortly before the game started.

His sudden demise has come as a shock to the cricket fraternity, where he was widely admired for his knowledge, dedication and calm demeanour.
