202 HSC Institutions Record Zero Passes in HSC Exams

The results of the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations were announced on Wednesday, October 16, at 10:00am by Professor Dr. Khandaker Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Dhaka Education Board. This year, 202 institutions recorded zero passes, a sharp rise from 65 in 2024. Conversely, institutions with a 100% pass rate dropped to 345 from 1,338 last year.
A total of 9,197 institutions participated, with 7,26,960 students passing out of 12,51,111 examinees, yielding a pass rate of 58.83%. Among them, 6,11,447 boys appeared, with 3,33,864 passing (54.60% pass rate) and 32,053 securing GPA-5. Meanwhile, 6,24,215 girls participated, with 3,93,096 passing (62.97% pass rate) and 69,097 achieving GPA-5.
Students can access results from their institutions or online. Written exams ended on August 19, with practicals from August 21 to 31, and results were published within 60 days, as per tradition. The exams were conducted across 4,808 institutions and 1,605 centres, with 10,55,398 examinees from nine general boards (72,883 fewer than last year), 86,102 from the Madrasah Board, and 1,09,611 from the Technical Board.

- Visit www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd, click Result corner, enter the institution’s EIIN to download the institution-based result sheet.
- Go to www.educationboardresults.gov.bd, enter roll and registration numbers to download the result sheet.
- Via SMS: Type HSC <Board name (first 3 letters)> <Roll> <Year> and send to 16222. Example: HSC Dha 123456 2025 to 16222.
Re-scrutiny applications start on October 17 and can be submitted via www.rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd until October 23. Details will be available on board websites and in newspapers.
