Girls Outshine Boys in HSC and Equivalent Exam

In the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, girls have surpassed boys in pass rates. The pass rate for boys stands at 54.60%, while girls achieved a higher pass rate of 62.97%. A total of 3,33,864 boys and 3,93,096 girls passed the exams.
According to board sources, 7,26,960 students passed overall, yielding an average pass rate of 58.83%. Out of 12,51,111 examinees, 6,11,447 boys participated, with 3,33,864 passing and 32,053 securing GPA-5, resulting in a 54.60% pass rate. Meanwhile, 6,24,215 girls appeared, with 3,93,096 passing and 69,097 achieving GPA-5, leading to a 62.97% pass rate.
