Dhaka Board Tops GPA-5 in HSC, Sylhet Lowest

The results of the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations were announced on Thursday at 10:00am across all 11 education boards, with 69,097 students achieving GPA-5. Dhaka Board recorded the highest number of GPA-5 recipients, while Sylhet Board had the lowest.

Analysis shows that 69,097 students secured GPA-5, including 32,053 boys and 37,044 girls. This is a significant drop of 76,814 from last year’s 1,45,911 GPA-5 achievers.

Board-wise GPA-5 Breakdown: Dhaka Board led with 26,063 students securing GPA-5, followed by Rajshahi (10,137), Dinajpur (6,260), Chattogram (6,097), Jashore (5,995), Madrasah (4,268), Cumilla (2,707), Mymensingh (2,684), Barishal (1,674), Technical (1,610), and Sylhet with the lowest at 1,602.
