HSC and Equivalent Exam Results Announced

The results of the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations were published today, Thursday, at 10:00am across all 11 education boards in the country. Approximately 12.5 lakh students awaited these results. Unlike previous years, no formal ceremony was held for the announcement. However, Education Ministry Adviser Professor Dr. C R Abrar will brief on the details at 11:30am.
Students can access their results through their respective educational institutions or online via education board websites. The HSC and equivalent written exams, which began on June 26, saw 12,51,111 students participate across 11 boards. Of these, 10,55,398 were from nine general boards, a decrease of 72,883 compared to last year. These students appeared under 4,808 institutions at 1,605 centres.
Under the Madrasah Education Board, 86,102 Alim examinees participated, down by 1,974 from last year, across 2,682 madrasahs at 459 centres. The Technical Education Board had 1,09,611 HSC (Vocational) and Diploma in Commerce candidates, a drop of 7,025 from last year, across 1,824 institutions at 733 centres.
The written exams concluded on August 19, with practical exams held from August 21 to 31. As per tradition, results were published within 60 days of the written exams’ completion.
How to Check Results
Students can access HSC and equivalent results in three ways, as per the official notice:
- Visit www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd, click on the Result corner, and enter the institution’s EIIN to download the institution-based result sheet.
- Go to www.educationboardresults.gov.bd, enter roll and registration numbers to download the result sheet.
- Check via SMS: Type HSC <Board name (first 3 letters)> <Roll> <Year> and send to 16222. Example: HSC Dha 123456 2025 to 16222.
Re-scrutiny applications for HSC and equivalent exams will begin on Friday, October 17. Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee Chairman Khandaker Ehsanul Kabir stated that applications can be submitted via www.rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd from October 17 to 23. Detailed application procedures will be available on education board websites and in newspapers.
