Chatra Dal ‘Super Five’ Declared Unwanted; Show-Cause Issued

A section of the Government Titumir College unit of Chatra Dal has declared convener Imam Hossain and member secretary Selim Reza along with the top five leaders of the convening committee as persona non grata. Leaders and activists of the organisation held a press conference on Wednesday (January 7) afternoon to announce the decision.

Following the incident, the central Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal issued show-cause notices late at night to the concerned leaders of Titumir College Chatra Dal on charges of breaching organisational discipline.

The notice stated that based on specific allegations of violating organisational discipline while holding responsible positions in the Government Titumir College branch, they have been directed to appear at the central office of Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal within the next 24 hours in the presence of the president and general secretary of the central executive committee and submit written explanation as to why permanent organisational disciplinary measures should not be taken against them.

The leaders facing allegations of breaching discipline are joint conveners Miraj Al Wasi, Akram Hossain Toton, Md Akter Hossain, Sihab Uddin Siam, Rimu Hossain, Jihad Hawlader, Md Abu Bakr Siddik Babu, Md Hasan Mirza, Sohag Hossain, Abu Huzaifa, Md Roki, Md Nobel Hossain Surya, Taijul Islam and Kamal Hossain. Besides these, convening committee members Mehedi Hasan Choyan, Zahirul Islam Yamin and Mehedi Hasan Mal are also named.
