HSC Test Exams Suspended Until Further Notice
The Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has directed all colleges to postpone HSC test (selection) examinations until guidelines for the 2026 HSC exams are issued. Regular classes for Class XII students will continue uninterrupted.
The directive, signed by Dhaka Board Examination Controller Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider on Sunday, states: "Regular classes for students wishing to appear in the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination will continue. Colleges are requested not to conduct selection examinations until further instructions."
The board will announce new dates for the test exams later via official notification.
The move aims to avoid scheduling conflicts amid uncertainty over the 2026 HSC timeline, following recent national changes. Over 1.4 million students are expected to sit for the exams nationwide.
