10 colleges with the most Class XI admission applications
Government Ananda Mohan College, Adamjee Cantonment College and Dhaka City College received the highest number of applications for Class XI admission in the 2026-27 academic year, according to data from the Dhaka Education Board.
The first-phase Class XI admission results were published on Wednesday night. Based on the number of applications, the board has identified the 10 colleges that were most preferred by applicants.
A total of 9,80,815 students were selected for admission in the first phase. However, 2,205 students who achieved GPA-5 were not selected for any college in this phase.
Online applications for Class XI admission opened on September 2 and closed at 8pm on September 13. Under the admission guidelines, each student could choose a minimum of five and a maximum of 10 colleges.
A total of 9,95,234 students applied for Class XI admission this year.
The 10 colleges with the most applications
1. Government Ananda Mohan College
The college has 981 seats, against which it received 32,678 applications.
2. Adamjee Cantonment College
The college has 2,379 seats and received 32,640 applications.

3. Dhaka City College
With 4,280 seats, the college received 31,951 applications.

4. Government Bangla College
The college has 1,450 seats, while 30,718 applications were submitted.

5. BAF Shaheen College Dhaka
The college has 1,820 seats and received 27,466 applications.

6. Rajshahi Government City College
The college has 1,200 seats, against 22,271 applications.

7. Rajuk Uttara Model College
The college has 1,820 seats and received 21,126 applications.

8. Chattogram Government City College
The college has 2,300 seats, while 20,855 applications were submitted.

9. Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College
The college has 1,880 seats and received 20,656 applications.

10. Government Tolaram College
The college has 1,950 seats, against 20,181 applications.
