St. Joseph College Announces 2026 Admission Updates
Saint Joseph Higher Secondary School has not yet finalised its admission procedures for 2026 following the publication of the Secondary School Certificate results, saying detailed guidelines will be announced after education board policies are released.
In an official notice signed by Principal Dr Br. Leo J. Pereira, the institution said comprehensive admission guidelines will be published on its official website as soon as the relevant education board policies are issued.
Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee President and Dhaka Board Chairman Prof Dr Syed Akhteruzzaman said higher secondary institutions have a combined capacity of 2.5 million seats, leaving more than 1.35 million seats vacant.
The surplus capacity follows a nationwide SSC pass rate of 62.25 percent, with 1,138,877 students passing the public examinations. Authorities have directed that the higher secondary admission process for the upcoming academic year must be completed by September 15.
At the official SSC results briefing at the Ministry of Education, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon said admissions would follow traditional mark- or GPA-based criteria derived from SSC results.
Saint Joseph Higher Secondary School is expected to publish its detailed admission guidelines on its official website once the education board policies are released.
