Medical, dental admission tests to be held on same day with unified question paper

The admission tests for government and private medical and dental colleges for the 2025-26 academic year will be conducted simultaneously on December 12.

Health Education Directorate Director (Medical Education) Professor Dr. Mahiuddin Matubber confirmed this to The Daily Campus today.

Additional Director General of Health Education Professor Dr. Rubina Yasmin said, “We had a meeting yesterday. It was decided to hold the medical and dental admission tests on the same day with the same questions.”

On merit lists or script evaluation, she added, “These matters are not finalized yet. We'll hold another meeting to decide.”

Earlier, the date for the medical admission test was set for December 12. The decision was made at an informal meeting of the Health Education and Family Welfare Ministry on October 6.

The dental admission test for government and private colleges is expected in early January 2026, within a month of the medical test, as announced by Health Education DG Professor Dr. Md. Nazmul Hossain.
