Chittagong University sets admission test dates for 2025-26 session

The Chittagong University (CU) administration has announced tentative dates for the 2025-26 academic year’s undergraduate (honours) first-year admission tests, scheduled from January 2 to January 12, 2026. The decision was made during a meeting of the university’s admission committee on Sunday, sources confirmed.

According to a source present at the meeting, the admission tests are set as follows: ‘A’ unit on January 2, ‘B’ unit on January 3, ‘C’ unit on January 9, ‘D’ unit on January 10, ‘B1’ sub-unit on January 5, ‘B2’ sub-unit on January 6, and ‘D1’ sub-unit on January 12.

The source added that the admission tests for the 2025-26 session will be held simultaneously in Chittagong (CU campus), Dhaka (Dhaka University campus), and Rajshahi (Rajshahi University campus). However, the ‘B1’, ‘B2’, and ‘D1’ sub-unit tests will be conducted exclusively at the CU campus.

Confirming the schedule, CU Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr. Shameem Uddin Khan said, “In today’s admission committee meeting, we fixed January 2 to January 12 as the tentative dates for the admission tests. Barring any unforeseen obstacles, we expect these dates to be finalised.”
