IFAD Group Celebrates Glorious 40 Years: Together on the Path of Prosperity

IFAD Group, one of Bangladesh’s leading business conglomerates, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a vibrant ceremony at its Dhamrai Factory on October 11, 2025. The event, themed “Together on the Path of Prosperity,” highlighted four decades of progress, innovation, and commitment to stakeholders.

Founded in 1985 by visionary leader Iftekhar Ahmed Tipu, IFAD Group has grown into a powerhouse across sectors like automobiles, lubricants, industrial compressors, food, toiletries, media, and information technology. Renowned for ethical practices and societal contributions, IFAD remains a major employer and a key driver of Bangladesh’s industrial growth.

The celebration was graced by IFAD Group Chairman Iftekhar Ahmed Tipu, Vice Chairmen, the Group Managing Director, senior officials, and employees from various business units. In his keynote address, Tipu reflected on the conglomerate’s journey, stating, “IFAD’s 40-year story is one of national progress, job creation, and empowerment. We are committed to further growth through industrial advancement and social welfare.”

The event featured the “Long Service Award” to honour dedicated employees and awards for winners of cultural competitions. A Tree Plantation Program underscored IFAD’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

International partners, including Ashok Leyland, Royal Enfield, Apollo Tyres, Gulf Oil, and Wings Group, extended their congratulations on the milestone. The evening concluded with captivating performances, including a classical dance by renowned artiste Warda Rihab and her troupe, soulful music by Imran and Kona, and creative showcases by IFAD employees, including songs, quizzes, and podcasts, leaving lasting memories for all attendees.
