RU Admission Tests Likely in January 2026: Possible Dates Announced

Rajshahi University (RU) is eyeing January 16, 2026, for the start of its 2025-26 academic year admission tests, to wrap up before February's national elections.

Discussions with potential admission committee members confirmed the early scheduling, as Ramadan follows elections.

The process will kick off with the 'A' Unit (Arts) on January 16, 'B' Unit (Business) on January 17, and 'C' Unit (Science) on January 23.

Sources from last year's committee, likely key in this year's, told The Daily Campus, “With February elections and Ramadan, we're planning January tests. All set for January 16 if timelines hold.”

They added, “January 16 for 'A' Unit (Arts), 17 for 'B' (Business), and 23 for 'C' (Science)—we're basing plans on these dates.”

RU's admission, drawing over 1 lakh applicants annually, typically spans units in phases, but early timing avoids disruptions. Official circular expected soon.
