Chatra Dal Leader Dies of Heart Attack After Dinner Near JnU Campus

Hasibur Rahman, Joint Convener of Jagannath University (JnU) Chatra Dal branch, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Friday night (October 3). Innallilahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon.

The 2016-17 session Geography and Environment Department student, originally from Bhola, was dining at Star Kabab hotel near campus when he collapsed around 9:30 PM.

He was rushed to Dhaka National Medical Hospital's emergency ward but was declared dead on arrival.

Abu Hena Mursalin, Chatra Dal Joint Convener, confirmed to *The Daily Campus*, “Hasibur went for dinner at Star Kabab. He suffered a heart attack there and was taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.”

Tributes poured in on social media. Chatra Dal Secretary Samsul Arefin posted, “Gone before my eyes? Innallilahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon. No words. May Allah forgive us.”

Chatra Shibir branch President Riyajul Islam wrote, “JnU Chatra Dal's Joint Convener Hasibur brother is no more among us. Innallilahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon. May Allah grant him the highest paradise. Ameen.”

Hasibur's untimely death has left the JnU community in shock, with peers remembering him as a dedicated activist.
