The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has nearly finalized the preparation of results for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examination. The results could be published as early as tomorrow, Thursday, once the compilation is complete. If not finalized by then, the results will be released by next Sunday, September 28.

BPSC Public Relations Officer S.M. Matiur Rahman told The Daily Campus, “There is no possibility of results being published today. They will be released by Sunday. If preparations are completed tomorrow, Thursday, the 47th BCS preliminary results may be announced on the same day.”

If the results are published by Sunday, BPSC will set a new record for the fastest release of BCS preliminary results.

The 47th BCS preliminary exam (MCQ) was conducted peacefully last Friday across 256 centers in eight divisional cities. The two-hour exam ran from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

A total of 374,747 candidates had applied to sit for the exam. The BPSC circular for the 47th BCS was published on November 28, 2024, offering 3,487 cadre posts and 201 non-cadre posts, for a total of 3,688 recruitments.

This timeline aligns with BPSC's roadmap announced in June, which scheduled the preliminary exam for September 19 and results by September 28. The exam had been rescheduled multiple times, originally set for August 8 and June 27.
