DU Finance Dept Head Appointed as DUCSU Treasurer

The chairman of Dhaka University’s Finance Department, Professor Dr. H. M. Mosarof Hossain, has been appointed as the treasurer of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU). The appointment was formalized on Monday (September 21) through a letter signed by the university’s acting registrar, Munshi Shamsuddin Ahmmad.

The letter stated that, in accordance with Clause 6(A) of the DUCSU constitution, the honourable vice-chancellor has nominated Professor Dr H.M. Mosharraf Hossain as the treasurer of DUCSU for 2025.

Previously, on September 11, the vice-chancellor, Professor Dr Niaz Ahmad Khan, had appointed Professor Dr M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury as the acting treasurer of DUCSU under the same Clause 6(A) of the DUCSU constitution. That order has now been revised, with the Finance Department chairman receiving the final nomination as treasurer today.
