The notice, published on Friday (September 19), stated that the ICT subject will include one theoretical and one practical course. Teachers specializing in ICT, Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, and related fields will be given priority to teach these courses.

Additionally, teachers who have received training from ToT, CEDP, NSDA, BTEB, or the Bangladesh Computer Council, or those holding a postgraduate diploma from a UGC-recognized university, will be eligible to teach ICT. In the absence of teachers from the aforementioned fields, faculty members from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics, Zoology, Botany, Soil Science, Biochemistry, Geography and Environment, and Environmental Science will conduct the classes.

If necessary, principals of government colleges or governing bodies of private colleges may appoint computer programmers, assistant programmers, or ICT-proficient resource persons working at the district or upazila level as part-time teachers. The notice will take effect immediately.
