Students from the seven colleges have taken to the streets in a protest march against a section of BCS General Education Cadre teachers who are agitating at the UGC, opposing the proposed independent structure of Dhaka Central University. During the protest, the students accused these agitating officials of violating the 'Government Employees Conduct Rules' by opposing the government’s steps to establish the university.

They also demanded that the government take action against these education cadre officials. On Thursday (September 18), around 11:30 AM, students from the seven colleges began their protest in front of the Shaheed Minar at Dhaka College.

During the protest march, the students chanted various slogans, including: "Education, not syndicate, education, education!", "Issue the ordinance, free education from syndicate!", "No more excuses with education!", and "Direct action against the syndicate!"
