ULAB Clinches 15th Fair Play Cup T20 Title

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) successfully concluded its 15th Fair Play Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, with the host team ULAB emerging as champions after a commanding 81-run victory over International Standard University (ISU) in a thrilling final on May 8, 2025, at ULAB’s Permanent Campus. ULAB announced the outcome in a press release on Sunday, May 11.
In the final, ULAB posted a formidable 204 for five wickets in their 20 overs. ISU, in response, managed only 123, losing all wickets in 19 overs, handing ULAB the championship trophy. The match drew an enthusiastic crowd, followed by a prize-giving ceremony attended by distinguished representatives from both institutions.
From ULAB, attendees included Professor Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee (Acting Vice-Chancellor and Treasurer), Lt Col Md Foyzul Islam (Retd) (Registrar), Asifur Rahman Khan (Deputy Director and Head of Communications), and Md Taufiq Aziz (Senior Manager, External Affairs). Representing ISU were Professor HTM Quader Newaz (Treasurer), Professor Md Abul Kashem (Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology), Mohammad Ali (Professor, Business Administration), and Mohammad Faizullah Kawshik (Registrar).
The press release highlighted the tournament’s vibrant atmosphere, with participation from multiple universities, reaffirming ULAB’s commitment to fostering youth leadership, sportsmanship, and ethical competition through cricket. Guests collectively presented trophies and awards to the champions, runners-up, and other standout performers.
The Fair Play Cup, organized annually since 2006, is a hallmark of ULAB’s dedication to inter-university sports, hosted on its tournament-standard cricket ground—the only one of its kind among Bangladesh’s private universities. The event continues to promote camaraderie and professional cricket development among young athletes.
