The results for the undergraduate admission test for the 'Arts, Law and Social Science' unit of Dhaka University (DU) for the 2025-26 academic session were officially published today. The data presents a grim picture of the competition, with an overwhelming 92.71% of candidates failing to secure a passing score.
According to a notice released on the university’s admission website after 4:30 PM, the pass rate has been recorded at a mere 7.29%.
The Numbers: A Steep Pyramid of Competition
The investigation into this year's statistics shows that while over a hundred thousand students aspired for a seat, only a small fraction met the university's rigorous criteria.

How to Access the Result
The university authorities have facilitated two primary channels for candidates to check their merit positions:

Online Portal: Candidates can log in with their credentials at the official link: admission.eis.du.ac.bd.

SMS Service: To get the result via mobile, students need to type
DU ALS <Admission Roll>and send it to 16321 from any mobile operator.
Background: The Decentralized Exam Strategy
This year’s admission test was held on December 13, 2025. To alleviate the physical and financial burden on students, the exams were conducted not only on the DU campus but also in seven other divisional cities across the country, including Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
The university administration is expected to release the schedule for the 'Subject Choice Form' (SIF) shortly, where qualified candidates will list their preferred departments based on their merit rank.
