93% fail in DU Arts, Law and Social Science unit admission test

The results of the undergraduate admission test for the Arts, Law and Social Science Unit of Dhaka University (DU) for the 2025-26 academic session were released today, Tuesday (January 20). The statistics reveal a staggering failure rate, with nearly 93 percent of the candidates failing to secure a passing grade.

According to the official notice published on the university's admission website after 4:30 PM, the pass rate stands at a mere 7.29 percent.

This year, the competition for the Arts Unit was intense, but the evaluation process proved challenging for the vast majority of aspirants.

Category-wise Performance

The successful candidates are divided based on their higher secondary backgrounds. While the unit is primarily for the Arts and Social Sciences, students from Science and Business backgrounds also participated significantly.
