Dean updates on RU 'A' Unit Admission Result Date

The long wait for thousands of aspirants is nearing its end as the results of the Rajshahi University (RU) 'A' Unit admission test for the 2025-26 session are set to be released. Professor Dr. Belal Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, has indicated that the results will likely be published between January 23 and 24.

Speaking to the media today, Professor Belal shared that the university has already initiated the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet evaluation process. "While it is hard to give an exact hour, we are working at a fast pace. We expect to publish the results within the next 3 to 4 days," he stated.

Massive Turnout Across Centers

The 'A' Unit exam, held on January 17, saw an overwhelming presence of students across seven major divisional centers. The statistics highlight a high level of competition:

• Shift 1: 52,657 students appeared out of 57,759 (91.17% attendance).

• Shift 2: 52,073 students appeared out of 57,756 (90.16% attendance).

Evaluation and Pass Criteria

The final merit list will be determined based on the 100-mark MCQ exam. Candidates must navigate the negative marking system—where 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer—to reach the minimum qualifying score of 40 marks.

Once officially approved, the results will be uploaded to the university's central admission server. Candidates are advised to keep their roll and registration numbers ready for instant access.
