DU Arts, Law and Social Science Unit admission results to be published today

The results of the 1st-year undergraduate admission test for the Arts, Law, and Social Science Unit (formerly Kha Unit) of Dhaka University (DU) for the 2025-26 academic session are scheduled to be published today, Tuesday (January 20).

Professor Dr. Md. Shariful Islam, Convener of the Online Admission Committee, confirmed this update. This follows earlier statements from the Unit Coordinator, Professor Dr. Tayebur Rahman, who indicated that the evaluation process was in its final stages and the results would be ready for public release by the end of this week.

Competition and Statistics

The admission test for this unit was held on December 13 in a peaceful manner across eight divisional cities. This year, the competition remains high:

• Total Applicants: 107,701 students

• Total Seats: 2,934

• Competition Ratio: Approximately 37 candidates competing for each seat.

University authorities previously planned to release the results within a month of the exam; however, some national issues caused a slight delay beyond the 30-day window.

How to Check Your Result

Candidates can check their individual results through two primary methods starting this afternoon:

1. Online Portal: Visit the official DU admission website at admission.eis.du.ac.bd and log in using your HSC and SSC roll numbers.

2. SMS Service: Send an SMS from any mobile operator (preferably Teletalk) in the following format:

   DU [Unit Keyword] [Roll Number] and send it to 16321. (Example: DU ALS 123456)

Exam Centers Overview

To ease the travel burden for students, the test was conducted not only at Dhaka University but also at seven other divisional centers: Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barishal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University (Mymensingh), and Begum Rokeya University (Rangpur).
