DU Chatra Dal leader Hamim offers tree saplings in exchange for plastic bottles

To reduce plastic waste and help maintain environmental balance, Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim, convener of Poet Jasimuddin Hall unit of Dhaka University Chhatra Dal and general secretary aspirant in the DUCSU election, has launched an innovative initiative.

He has announced that he will give one fruit tree sapling in exchange for 10 plastic bottles.

Hamim shared this information on his Facebook page on Sunday (28 December). However, he did not provide details on when the programme will begin.

In his post, Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim wrote: “Dear students of Dhaka University, if you give me 10 plastic bottles, I will give you one fruit tree sapling. Are you interested in collecting the sapling and planting it? Stay connected, details coming soon…”
