LDP General Secretary Dr Redwan Ahmed joins BNP

Dr Redwan Ahmed, General Secretary of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), former State Minister, and freedom fighter, has formally joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

He made the announcement at a press conference held at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Wednesday (24 December 2025).

On the occasion, he also declared his intention to contest the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election from the Cumilla-7 constituency.
