DMP deploys extra police, body-worn cameras for Osman Hadi’s janaza

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has deployed an adequate number of police personnel, including 1,000 body-worn cameras, to maintain law and order during the namaz-e-janaza of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho.

The information was shared by DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Talebur Rahman in a text message today.

The namaz-e-janaza will be held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 2:00 pm.

Hadi died at Singapore General Hospital on Thursday night.

He suffered critical head injuries on December 12 after being shot by assailants while returning from election campaign in the capital's Paltan area.

Hadi was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later shifted to Evercare Hospital. He was airlifted to Singapore on December 15 for advanced treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
