Fourteen officials and employees of the Secretariat who were arrested in connection with agitation demanding secretariat allowance have been temporarily suspended. Earlier, a court sent them on five-day remand in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Sources from the concerned ministries and divisions confirmed that notifications suspending them temporarily were issued on Monday (15 December) through multiple gazettes.
